On February 3rd, 2007, I was fortunate enough to be brought into Rochester, NY to wrestle for Next Era Wrestling at the Main Street Armory to team up with Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka. The process to get me to come to Rochester, NY started with a phone call in December 2006 from Joe Lynch (NEW Talent Relations), checking availability and negotiating a rate for appearance. Communication occurred with Joe throughout December and January to ensure that we did not have any snags along the way. On February 3rd, I arrived in Rochester, NY where I was greeted by Joe who escorted me to locker room and we discussed the plans for the evening. Joe made sure that my autograph table during intermission kept busy and payments were made accordingly. Joe checked on me throughout the show to see if there was anything that I needed. At the end of the show, Joe made sure the promoter paid me the agreed upon amount and that I was satisfied with the way things went throughout the day. Joe was a professional and ensured that my time in Rochester, NY went smooth and that I did not encounter any issues. After I returned home, Joe messaged me to thank me again for an amazing experience and hoped that we would work together in the future. I’m writing to provide my personal recommendation for Mr. Joe Lynch. I worked with Joe in January 2006 and again in June 2006. My experience was positive from initial contact, booking, the actual event, returning home, and in prepping for the second booking. His communication was highly effective and thoughtful. I could tell Joe was personally invested in making each event go as smoothly as possible, on both sides of the contract. Joe reached out about having me perform in Rochester, NY at a wrestling show, a couple of days before the booking. It was a reputable wrestling show and Joe also came highly recommended by others who worked with him previously.
At the January show, I was a last moment replacement during a high profile match with their champion, Kage, due to someone else canceling. I can’t say this strongly enough, Joe made filling in last minute feel carefree and easy. He ensured that I was comfortable with each aspect of the event, start to finish. He checked in with me consistently about various aspects of the booking including, my safety, crowd impact/desired result, what was required of me during the match, my concerns, and any limitations I had at the time. Joe directly addressed the impact a last minute lineup change can have on talent, crowd expectations and responses. Our review of these details were important to my overall success and the success of the event as a whole.
At the highly attended June wrestling show, I was alongside Rick Steiner, and Lex Luger. Once again, Joe took care of the small items including my frequently flyer details, travel to/from hotel, and comfort level with the event. He also addressed the larger concerns I had about my time and experience being utilized in the most beneficial way for both myself and the company.
Throughout my time with Joe Lynch he has handled himself professionally, and with the utmost respect and concern for those on all sides of the contract. I would call his skill more rare, thoughtful, and well thought out than many others who’ve been doing this longer.
